Pump It!

by Kayte

Midnight is my witching hour…

They actually cut me off at the hospital yesterday. Said they had too much in the freezer and asked me to store it at home until they need more. At this rate we’re going to need to borrow some freezer space from neighbors.

Keep with it Kayte! It’s not the same as actual Breastfeeding but so worth every min. Just stay as close to a schedule as you can and you might be able to keep up with both of them for a very long time. I exclusively pumped for Allie for 13 months and because I stuck to an every 4 hour regimen in the beginning and then moved to 6 and then 8 I had enough for a second child though we never needed it. If you have any questions or even an understanding ear when you have to get up and pump in the middle of the night please don’t hesitate to get contact with me!

Thanks Tina! I’ve actually been really enjoying it – with the babies in the hospital, it’s the one thing I can do that really feels like I’m helping. They currently have me on a 2-3 hour schedule, which also helps to mimic the sleep deprivation 🙂

Keep pumping you’ll need it later. There is nothing better than have bottle ready in the midle of the night.

You are a hero. I never had much success with pumping but maybe out of necessity it comes more easily. Just keep hydrated and well fed and get some rest.
